Re: I think we're all a bit "different" truth be told. And many

Pat, I couldn't agree more. Everyone has some unique ability or feature, something that makes them stand out. And for the most part, we all just want to feel like we belong. We walk a fine line between recognizing our uniqueness, and suppressing it enough to blend in.

It's true, I do get frustrated with people every now and then, and I do have to be careful not to 'jump in' too soon. I'm okay with everyone thinking I'm a smart-ass, because I certainly can be. But I don't want to make people feel stupid, since they're usually not!

I think we're all a bit "different" truth be told. And many
of us put on a normal facade because we want to fit in. It's not easy to wait for others reach the conclusion you grasped instinctively and at once -- but if you jump in too quickly they begin to feel like a) you're a smart-ass and b) you think they're stupid. Actually, it's lucky to have solid self-awareness and the good sense to tell the "experts" to back off.  I'm thinking maybe my mother was this way, she was always at war with herself... :)pat
