This may be true about the top 100's but as far as the ranking of my
various blogs is concerned, I find that there is continuously a change in which of my blogs gets more read. It depends a lot more on the content - emotional mushy stuff or stuff with catchy captions fetches more clicks.

Maybe some have jumped on the band wagon!  Okay, guilty I am of trying a bit of poetry .  BUT I still do my other items too.  I don't concentrate on just poetry!  I believe WE ALL still have to be ourselves and not be just a follower!!!

notapoet ~

I agree. Although I've only been with Blogit for a month (exactly, tomorrow,) I have noticed that poetry dominates this writing site. The other categories are interesting and, some, most helpful in relaying information, instruction, enlightenment, etc. However, I believe poetry has dominated because of the world's current situation. In an atmosphere of hatred, distrust, prejudice, war, greed -- many people are crying out for peace, comfort, relief, release....help. Our spiritual selves have been awakened to what is happening in the world and, because the seed of writing poetry grows from within -- from the soul and the spirit -- and blooms outwardly, poetry is the best means of expressing what we feel...love, despair, rejection, loneliness, etc. That is why I write... and, thus, my treatise.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. ~SS
