Even if hearing music is the first sign of trouble, it would be a nice way to fade away, listening to the tunes that marked our best moments, remembering what was, and what made us happy. I am not so sure though, that it is always a bad sign, composers hear music all the time, so do children say experts. Maybe we as adults just block that part of us that can hear our inner thoughts, and perhaps disease sometimes has a way to unlocking that. Be strong dear, from here it does not look like you are slipping at all. No one that is not all there and then some could write as beautifully as you do. I think you are going to be just fine and here to share with us the gift of your poetry for a long long time. :-)

With all due respect -- truly -- IMO all creative people are a bit demented from the beginning, and life forms the template of their works. joab

Re:
Thanks. Didn't say in blog. My mom and my two uncles [her brothers] started to hear music as the first signs of dementia due to Parkinsons or Alzheimers. Both are related diseases.

I want mine to be a very long, slow waltz. I loved the imagery! sam
