What would you do if you could do whatever you want -- as a job?
If you don't have the education it takes to get the job you want, perhaps you could enroll in a local college and take the first steps toward it.
I had a 9-5 job I wasn't thrilled with, but there was no choice, little mouths to feed. I'd always wanted to be a reporter/writer. I was busy, tired, always running to keep up. When I added a class to the mix, I expected to be overwhelmed, but knowing I was making progress toward something I wanted, gave me energy. It took seven years. I was 50 when I got the degree, and immediately got a 40% raise and promotion to a job doing research and editing.
