Re: WoW!
I don't know Kaboom...I think "wow" sums it up pretty well.
Thanks for reading, and for the thoughtful comment

Re: Sira
Naut,
I know, I know, I'm working on quitting! I actually only have 5 smokes a day, and I feel guilty after every one of them. I don't think it will be long before I give them up completely.
Thanks for reading

Sira
Terrible experience. And Mark was right - but so were you! By holding that woman's head and calming her, you may well have prevented her from doing further damage to herself...And while this may not be the right moment to say this, I'll say it anyway: you should definitely quit smoking...

Re:
Sam,
Yeah, it was awful. But in a way I'm glad I was there--to help the woman, and to open my eyes to what's really important.
Thanks for reading, and for the kind words!

Re: Oh my God Sira!
Thanks ginnie, for the kind words.
I checked the papers today, but there wasn't any mention of the accident--I guess it wasn't bad enough to be news worthy.
I've calmed down now, although I think the experience will stay with me. I'm sure there was some reason that I happened to be there at just the right time, and I'm glad I was there to help. But next time, I hope someone else gets put in the right place--I don't think I can handle any more excitement!

Sira, what a horrifying experience. I know you put yourself in harm's way but I am proud of your actions to help a fellow human being. You made a tremendous difference in another person's life. sam

Oh my God Sira!
What a horrible thing to happen! How incredibly tragic but you did good!!!! That woman will know somehow, someday that you were there....you just touching her made all the difference I'm sure. And you were an angel too. I hope you are able to find some calm after going through such trauma..curl up in Mark's arms and feel safe. You did an amazing thing Sira...you have to wonder why you were there at that moment...somebody needed you. I hope you're able to find out how the baby and mother are too..for your peace of mind. Now take good care of you.
