Appreciation Soldiers!
A friend of mine died in Iraq today; When I heard the news, I could not pray.
What a terrible way to die, with no one to hold your hand; So far from loved ones in a
foreign land.
I can feel my heart breaking, and no words will come; thinking how my friend was killed by
shrapnel of a bomb.
I write for all people who suffer this same fate; We need our soldiers home,
Let's now, negotiate.
This friend of mine went forth, to help those he left behind;
Without ever knowing what fate he would find.
I dedicate my thanks to all who fight and die for me;
To give me back my freedom, and Religious Liberty.
I just have to say Thank You!, to our soldiers everywhere;
And let them know that they are loved and kept in daily prayer.
