Color
For the most part our mind unconsciously clings to negative memories and it takes a conscious effort to purge them and move forward.  Have you even noticed that when you have a disagreement with someone it’s the negative words that linger in your mind rather than anything positive that might have been said?  It takes a willing heart to forget the negativity and embrace the positive.

If you have a
'sterile' mind well it must be tragic. 'Sterile' conjures up in my own mind the hospital or a person who is unable to bear a child/life. Daily we are bombarded with the good the bad and the ugly and usually what stays with us the longest is tragedy for it is most difficult to cleanse such things from our minds and do we want to really? We need to remember some terrible things in order to learn, we need to remember the happy times in order to go on to the next day and so I say we need both to balance our minds. But mostly I hang on to the crap...however like I have mentioned many a time, just to save my butt from major ridicule is that I am currently in therapy, not to cleanse my mind but to make my thoughts 'okay.'
