Re: I can't imagine

Dearest SpitFire70,

The blog has no comments, so I am imaginging that the poster is deleting all comments. I have no idea why.

My comments were very benign, I was sure, so I was surprised. But, the blogs are ours and we can do with them as we will. I accept Rosetree's will, just thought it a little strange.

I don't understand it, but I don't understand a lot on this planet anymore, so I embrace the confusion and move on.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I can't imagine
you leaving something that someone would actually delete! How rude!

Re: I only delete comments if they are deliberately hateful.
Temple, I am so very manic busy and want to write for hours, but may I just say, DITTO to your comment, ditto each sentiment and sentence !!

I only delete comments if they are deliberately hateful.
Clearly meant to be hurtful or something.  Or if they reveal very personal information because it's by a friend who didn't realize that was not something I want out there (I obviously tell them).  I think this place has gone a little wacko.  I mean, the point is to WRITE here and everyone is so worried about comments and the "game" I guess.  I mean calling cards?  I still don't even understand that!  If someone just leaves me a rose or something, even back door, I respond (if I'm being good and getting to that) or say nothing.  It's just not something we should worry about.  I love seeing your name on my comments page.  It's like getting a gold star on something.

Re: I for one would never delete your comments
azur, same here. I see your name and feel as though a gift awaits my reading....

I for one would never delete your comments
I regard them as gifts and a treat when I find them on my posts.

Re: I recently left a comment

homegirl, I am offended by the new REPORT ABUSE link at the bottom of each comment.

How frivolously some reports and refusals and deletions are handed out, I fear. I leave all things on the comments section, for all to read, even the nasty ones that mightyholywarrior, etc. left for me in the beginning, before I made him or them a friend....

I think that comments show the character of the reader and writer and that, if they took the time to write, I should allow them their soapbox, too.

I recently left a comment
a very friendly comment on the blog of a somewhat popular blogger here.  I showed concern for a touch situation, and was very friendly.  I was shocked to find that the person had deleted my comment.  I did not understand.  I am not the type to ever say anything hurtful and even greatly admired that blogger.  To be honest, the deletion soured my enthusiasm for this site.
