- Go to It’s About Time...Part II
My 19 year old Son is fascinated with the Black Hole theory. Heres my take on time in the
flesh.
My time will come, your time will come, their time will come, when time is no more, what i
think, what i feel, what they know, will not matter.

Re:
Thanks, EX. Of course, most things are debatable. Incidentally, there is a principle long recognized in science, namely that a
presuppositionless science (or any enquiry, for that matter) is not possible...

This is an intellectually challenging expose. I must read it again before I can comment objectively. Then I will reply in kind. At first glance, it proposes numerous debatable suppositions.

Re:
Thanks TAPS, one of my few faithful readers for my various and sometimes tedious series, lol. Your question is very interesting, and does help to clarify the distinction I am trying to establish here. Assuming the 'existence' of a personal God, who 'moves' the world, his statement indeed refers to what I mean by 'time'. Had he said, 'I devote (the time of) my life to you', he would necessarily be referring to a specific and fairly concrete
period of time...

Re:
Thanks, sam. As I said before, time may well be an illusion. But when you say 'to pacify man', it sounds as though you mean it was 'created' for that purpose, and that's what I don't understand...

It seems to me that you have put a lot of thought into this. Because you write such interesting posts in this blog, I will put some thought into it too. In The Bible, the Psalmist said to God,
My times are in thy hand. I assume this would be an example of your 'time'.

I couldn't agree more with the consciousness being he starting point for time. Although I will contend it is an illusion to pacify man. sam
