Re: Sira
Oh Naut,
Only you would pick up on the story of the lost shoe in the midst of all that rambling!
Here's what actually happened to my missing footwear:
Mark took it. Despite the fact that it was sunny and warm, and almost all the snow had melted, my hubby didn't seem to think it was sandal weather. So he stole one of my shoes, and hid it in the closet. I suppose he figured that, if I only had one shoe, I'd give up and wear "sensible" footwear.
But Sira's a stubborn creature. I ripped the house apart looking for it, and found it just in time to go for a walk. Granted, I had to drag a chair into the back room to retrieve the flip flop from its place on the very top shelf. But I did get it down. After pelting Mark with the shoe several times, I had a very enjoyable afternoon stroll--and I didn't even come close to losing a toe to frost bite!
Hope that puts your mind at ease, dear Naut. And in the future, I promise I'll do a better job of explaining mysterious footwear disappearances

Here Here majestic!
Normally, I pride myself on doing just that--taking life as it comes and finding the silver lining. Some days are harder than others though, and even the toughest of optimists can stumble.

Re: Sira890
Wiley,
I did the breathing exercises while I was doing the dishes. And I felt much better after--I don't know if it was because the kitchen was clean, or because the breathing had calmed me down. Either way, I was back to my normal self by dinner time

Re: Yeah
Kaboom,
That makes perfect sense. I guess part of the problem is that I don't really feel like I chose this--it certainly wasn't my idea to get sick!

Been there, done that, as the saying goes - but I have a question! How do you lose a
shoe ???
(If it's in the
house, it's not '
lost', but
merely
'misplaced'!) If however, you really
lost it, outside, in the street, were you running from a pursuer? Is there more to this story than you're telling us?

Yes, making the lemonade out of the lemons. I have had to do this sooooo many times over the past year, my head was spinning..... but it's a very good attitude to keep. It's too darn easy to let everything bring us down in life, we have to keep a stiff upper lip, bite our tongue, and move forward......making the best of every situation!

Those are the days I sit back and meditate for about 30 minutes, breath in, breath out and keep every thought out of my mind except the breathing luv.
