Wonderful !
I'm sad for those who don't understand poetic language. Your piece is wonderful. I imagine it took a lot of emotion to create it.

The poem stands well as it is. my friend...had me in thoughts of my mother
and all of the things I could never think to place upon her gravestone...as I read your poem, I was stunned to find the words that would not freely come to mind...well done!

Tho I might identify with you specific journey
the writing seems a little lagbrious to me--sometomes doubling up on wasted words: within 1st two stanzas "nectar" whats that? Birds and Bees and 19th century imagry>if you are talking about somthing sweet, then tell me in my everday language. Then you have "spirit wings". Since when is wings not spiritual?
I think you have to make a decision if you are going to write in 19th/20th century form and imagry, or do you want to communicate to someone like me?
The poem starts out a little dark, but I like how you work your rhythm of thought back into the light. The fact is, if I were not a reader, I would have stopped at your 2nd stanza--just how you were using word/images.
Thus my only question is who you are writing to--the past of to me?
Since I don't go back and read my posted comments, best thing to do is email me. I'm sure you will have some comment--and I'll be looking foward to them
