The world could use more such naivete
Such reflections make me think of that old Frank Capra classic "It's a Wonderful Life" and the nightmarish Pottersville that comes from there being no George Bailey to stop it.

good old days

Young, yes! -- but naive

...only in the sense that you lacked experience. Your insight was that of someone much older -- knowing the problems of society (and wanting to fix them.) Very well done!
