flying
What I hate most is the power trip most airport security officers are on. They see someone who looks, well, not really poor and they go for him/her full throttle. I'm on a trasn atlantic flight in 4 days time and I already dread the airport.

I am not nearly as concerned about terrorists as I am
about the hung over aircraft mechanic who just had a fight with his wife and is turning the bolts on my engines.
I hate to fly these days, not so much from fear, but from sheer hatred of the cattle car mentality that is the airline industry these days.

Nautikos
Whether traveling by car, train or plane....or cruise ship...... I am always aware that any moment may be my last....that may sound incredibly stupid but it's just my way of saying I do forget about it however I travel because, other than choosing "street legal" modes of transportation there's not a helluva lot I can do to control it.....no, I just concentrate on getting both of my breasts through the scanning equipment and making sure my shoes and underware smuggling operation don't get me too much time!

Not many trains will become airborne and crash into skyscrapers. Which
may be the logic behind the security guy's budget decisions. Maybe it's just me, but I believe 99.9 percent of passengers are interested in arriving safely at their destination and have no desire to turn the plane into a missile. It seems to me there have been fewer hijack attempts from people wanting to get back home to South America or someplace off the planned route since security tightened.

Life isn't safe! It's life (and it's counterpart, of course)! So, "high-low-medium size" danger of an attack, in plane or in train, should not stop you for going a bit further, always a bit further, to see what's on the other side of the mountain. So say I. On another subject, I'd like to apologize to all C
ave-fish that I might have insulted by calling them
Cray-fish. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa.

I think I hit terminal velocity in my car the other day
but I was driving on the freeway with the sun roof down and the warm spring air blowing through my hair--I just couldn't resist hitting the gas!
Seriously though, I think the high airport security is on everyone's mind because we've all seen the devastation that a hijacked plane can wreak. Trains might be just as likely to be attacked, but they aren't as highly publicized, and I doubt they do as much damage.
Either way, stuff like this kind of makes me glad I'll be staying home for the foreseeable future

Nautikos, I'm not too thrilled with...
achieving terminal velocity in any kind of transportation except for maybe that "sweet chariot" that may be swinging low one of these days.
