There's a lot of truth in your writing! I guess the 70% white population calls the shots. Blacks dominate every other group, statistically, as far as the prison population is concerned. While most of us look away...you didn't!

first, everybody commits crime
the richest of society -- every level social and economic.
crime is more prevalent in the lower socio-economic levels.
African-Americans have a greater percentage of lower e/s population.
if a crime is rate is 10%, then out of 1,000 people that is 100 --so let us give this as the Black populaton.
on the other hand, a similar White population in sucha s/e group would be maybe about 300 -- this gives us 30 crimes.
I don't think crime is more prevalent in the Black Community; the s/e group is larger.
this then gives the false impression that the crime rate is higher.
circumstances there are worse, even self-perpetuating.

Some things never change.
Putting a black face on crime has been sort of a national past time since before the Civil War. Ridiculous. I jut love watching the white banker that owns buildings downtown ride by and yell at the black guys hanging out, like there's something there they want to steal. What? A brick?
Then when he's done, he goes to the office ot buy politicians, foreclose on widows and orphans, and screw his new secretary.

some of the nicest men I have ever met have been black. I even met a black guy at a bar once and he offered to suck my toes. Wasn't that nice of him? The white guy I met previous to him just wanted to tear my clothes off and do it in his truck. asshole.

Racism
It is really tragic that people go about life in such a lopsided way. I have seen this kind of thing happen in South Africa many times. Yet in South Africa people are trying really hard to overcome this kind of problem. We who were classified as "White" in the old South Africa are still getting labeled today by some non-South Africans as racist bastards. I wonder were the real racist bastards are living?
