Or maybe it's a Redneck thing... Don't know if it was on CNN or
"News of the Weird" but I seem to remember a report about this guy overindulging in beans and cabbage, crawling into bed in his camping trailer after supper. He failed to open the windows and asphyxiated in his own methane gas. Ewww!

Funny thing, I thought that gourmet pairing was special to a certain
cultural icon of the American west -- the cowboy. On the trail there were biscuits, beans and beer, if "Cookie" had enough room in the chuckwagon. Otherwise it was black bitter coffee and beans, and tall tales around the campfire.

Re:
Sounds interesting, TAPS! Although I must confess that I prefer my bourbon undiluted, although in the summer I may take an ice cube and a little water...

Nautikos, we just finished off a can of baked beans laced with bourbon. I don't remember what brand it was but you could definitely taste bourbon in them. Actually they were pretty good.

I wonder how often Mr. Heinz ends up
sleeping on the couch?
His bean empire might make him a rich man, but is the wealth really worth it, if you end up sleeping alone because no one can stand your bean-induced stench?
