Gonzostyle,
Well stated. And I do not think that we should expect the "next" president to reverse or correct the insanity of the past! We can and should expect him end the progression of the erosion of our President's morals and character!

Sam444,
The instances of Reagan lack of a firm understanding of his Constitutional responsibilities are glaring! Remember Iran-Contra? Attempts to assassinate Leaders of sovereign nations? For unknown reasons the Legislative and Judiciary Branch of government have been rendered ineffective by this movement that places a "Crown" on the head of the President of the United States!

Kiddo75,
Thanks for the kind words and visit. I hope your absence was not because of anything written here and you will continue to dialogue?

The truth is out there.
All your points are validated through our last thirty years of history, the problem with that is, we live in the United States of Amnesia. It is my personal belief that the "new" boss will be much like the "old" boss, and "change" is a campaign slogan, because the ability of a nation to truly change lies with it's masses. In this country of pseudo-celebrity role models the only thing many feel they can change is the channel on the television. We still prosecute people for a plant that grows in the dirt, how enlightened are we?

Glen this is an excellent theme and well written essay. I hadn't thought about the Reagan era impacting the way you have informed. It reinforces my commitment to fresh, vibrant ideas that I believe Obama can bring to the people and government.  sam

Xeno-x,
You have said it correctly. It was an amazing time, nothing positive happened in America and we are still being told it did!
