the teachers are pressed to perform themselves
a failing student doesn't look good for the teacher.
it's like no child left behind
in order for school districts to pass the test, they start classes earlier in the year so they can prepare children for the test -- so what do they do the rest of the year?
things have to be different.

Those guys are insane! Once a teacher is tenured it is difficult to get them out of the system. It is a major pitfall in education. sam
