What will they think of next!
Guess I better be losing some excess poundage before crossing over the Mississippi state line.

"...takes the cake..." Better not!
Really, I can only think that this piece of legislation is being proposed to make some other more serious proposal of crazy law seem more rational.

Since it's well known that the portion sizes served in restaurants are well larger than those recommended by nutruionists, it would seem a better place to start legislating.....and easier to measure/control/etc......would be making restaurants serve rational portion sizes so we could all be healthier............but, hey!.........let's not try to do anything that might actually address the issues involved in making us fat.......
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, SWEETNESS!

Wow...I don't think under federal law they would be able to enforce this BUT the larger question is why in the heck would they try? Outrageous if ya ask me!

Happy Valentines Day Naut~

Re: I guess that takes Mississippi off my list of potential road trips.
Pat, what passes for 'thinking' among legislators would land the rest of us in the poor house or the loonie bin...

I agree, auslander, there is far too much crapp in our food! Maybe I'll start growing my own in the backyard...

I guess that takes Mississippi off my list of potential road trips.
I was about to ask "what were they thinking?" when I realized we were talking about legislators. Sometimes I wonder if they look for the idea that will piss off the most people.

Remove the "CRAPP"(Chemical Residue And Petroleum Products) from
the restaurants and over "manipulated" food (i.e. packaged meals all ready to use) and you'll get a much better, healthier population. And yes, less IS best!

Do they think that not allowing people to eat out
will stop them eating altogether? Instead of banning the fat people from eating the food, why don't we ban the cooks from putting the fat in the food in the first place??

And I do too, Nautikos......................
TAPS wrote about this, and I told her how absurd it is. I happen to be among the "chubbies" and it's not from over-eating. It's come from prescription steroids to keep me breathing. Not that it matters, I'm still in that class of people and, dammit, we have to eat too. Stupid people make me angry dreaming up this garbage.
You're ok though - wanna be my Valentine?
