Truth is the first casualty of war, white cossack, and usually dies long
before the clashing of ignorant armies.  In fact, somewhere in this list of quotes is that exact quote from Senator Hiram Johnson.

You are more than welcome, mermaid. I don't know if I am a champion of
justice (although I like the sound of it), but I do consider myself a purveyor of truth.  I like to destroy the veils of subterfuge with which all our governments and persons of power tend to move behind.  And thank you, mermaid, for your kind words.  I would hope that my words not only reach insular people such as yourself, but people who can truly effect altruistic and philanthropic change on a broad scale.

The Next War...
Unfortunately when Bush decided to go to war against the bad guys he went to the wrong country. Historical Proven FACTS have identified Saudi Arabia and Iran as the main training, supply and funding source for the Islamic Terrorists since the 70's. We should have left Sadam in power and used him as an ally in a war against Iranian fundamentalists. There is no way in hell the USA is going to ever attack Saudi Arabia as long as OPEC controls oil flowing into our economic base. There are probably 500 books on Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism that have been printed in the last 20 years in english. Documented Facts in the Public Domain. Yet the media belongs to the government and special interest groups. Truth is seldom the point and is often the very first casualty of war.
