Re: Sira890
Hi Mac!
I think I'm safe from the evil balloon--Mark was at the store yesterday, witnessed the noise that is Tinkerbell, and came home complaining even more than I did!
The urge to murder was strong, but I resisted--partially because I didn't want to get thrown out of the store for destroying their display, but mainly because I didn't have anything sharp on me!
Thanks for reading

I hope Mark doesn't think that you protested too much and actually want Tinkerbell. I think I would have killed it on the spot.

Re: I can completely relate to this.
It's definitely harder to be patient when you're not feeling well. I wouldn't have actually popped the balloon either, although I bet it would have taught the kids a valuable lesson!

Re: Hey
I don't know Strick--they won't let me join their group until I've "grown up"!
Sounds like you've been busy, raising so many babies! And congrats on the upcoming grandchild! From what I've heard, the grand-kids are the most fun--you get all the benefits, and very few diapers.

I can completely relate to this.
Especially, when I feel bad, my impatience level goes through the roof. I would have been tempted to pull that balloon down and pop it in the face of the last kid who touched it. I would not have actually done it.

Hey
What is my group called?????????? the 40+ group. In my case I am not sure I have a 20 yr old, 15, 8, and 6 along with a 4 yr old granddaughter, 17 mo old granddaughter, and will have a grandson any day now. So I am still young enough to have my own kids but yet I will soon be the grandmother of 3. All of this and I am only 40

Re: Great post! I echo your sentiments on irritating kids and Tinker Bell
LOL Pat!
Sorry about the "old people" comment--I certainly didn't mean to offend (honestly, I really didn't'!!).
In my defense though, I'm still part of the Patently Ignorant Gang (yes, that's right...the PIG's--us 20-something's have a club too!). We get points for being obnoxious, talking loudly on cell phones in the store, using foul language, and getting impatient in lines! There aren't any rewards that I know of though--just the satisfaction of knowing that we've been ignorant, and annoyed a lot of people
Since I don't usually have a potty mouth, and rarely talk on the phone in public, being impatient is the only way I can stay competitive!

Oh God no--please, no!!
If they really wanted to punish criminals in jail, they would have that song pumping through the intercom 24 hours a day

Great post! I echo your sentiments on irritating kids and Tinker Bell
singing balloons... There's something you need to know about the fogeys, though -- the ones "pushing 70."
We have a club. It's called S.I.T. (Senior Image Team). The first rule is that we must make exact change, even if we have to search through pockets, handbags and coinpurses. Each time we pay with exact change, we get one point. If we hold up a line, we get four bonus points. When we accumulate 100 points, we earn the right to tell anybody's grandchildren about the good old days, how we walked to school ten miles in the snow uphill in both directions. I you feel better, knowing that your inconvenience has helped some SIT members reach their goal. :)
