I like the one that mentions the 2/3 of the world that we have forgotten.  In  remembering, I don't feel  'chosen' or special. I wish they could have some life too! They need the help and blessings that others can give!!

Yes, it is indeed sad, but you decided to respond with gratitude, grace, and creative beauty. For this I am grateful. Maraming salamat!

amen to the intro
and very nice poem and yes we need to SEE that we already have more than enough and if we cant b content with that then we will never b content and the vicious cycle continues and it does help to ease our pain when we think of those who are less fortunate but yet are sometimes stronger and happier than us simply because they are thankful for everything they have and may we all reach that level soon...God bless

Hello mariaki--I too-find that sickening and terribly sad! However-your
poem surrounding it-is wonderfully written and I pray you have a better day tomorrow! God bless-Chris.

Nice poem with a much need sentiment.  Too often we complain about something that most other people would find luxurious.

correction - that's another 6" on top of the 4" we have.  That snow storm will roll in this afternoon.  Oh well, it's good for the farmers.

mariaki.................

I'm always thankful.  Very nice reminder for all of us to appreciate what we have.

Beautiful here this morning, still very cold but everything is white outside.  The snow came overnight (about 6") and it's hanging on all the trees.  It's still snowing, I don't guess I'll be going out today, just hang our with hubby and do no more than I have to.  hahahaha

It is sad when we are driven by commercialism to deem our success level. Great reminder and may the Lord bless and keep you safe! sam

mariaki

Our life blessings should never be taken lightly, so many are in need.

It is good to have a thankful heart.
