Re: Your hawk.
What an experience that must have been! Thanks for sharing it, northsage...

Your hawk.

All hawks are impressive but my most memorable experience was while hunting from an elevated tree location. A gosshawk landed about fifteen feet away at exactly the same height as I was. This was a mature one with blood red eyes and his cold stare, right into my eyes, turned my blood cold! Words cannot describe the impact and beauty of this marvelous creature! He wasn't the least bit frightened and we studied each other unashamedly for close to five minutes, before he tired of this and left speeding and twisting acrobatically through the trees without touching a limb. A remarkable and memorable experience!

Re: We have squirrels that play outside in the trees at the school..
Shelly, squirrels are fun to watch! We have a number that practically live here, and each one has a different personality...

Re:
Thanks, BrighIrish. Our squirrels seem to keep an eye out for the hawks and hide in the bushes, and I know Wiley has plenty of those...

Re: Very Pretty
Thanks, Sira. Of course, this guy doesn't do a lot of running around, he's more into like flapping around...

Great Picture .. I hope Wiley and Kabu don't have any Hawks lurking around. Can you imagine Kabu's distress if she were to see one fly off with her squrills. I am surrounded with big trees and now while the branches are bare .. you can look out and see them sitting and waiting to swoop down.
