I'm not sayin' I like the smell of a sweaty man.....but I do love the smell of a man out in the sun, when I think about it.....the smell of his skin.....and the smell of a t-shirt or just a cotton shirt.....it's a sense memory I have that is very, very pleasant.....from beaches, just out and about.....sitting next to one in a car on a summer day.....hadn't really thought about it.....

Re: A bit of healthy sweat is one thing. Last week's BO is a whole 'nother
LOL, Pat. I guess we have left our animal instincts behind. Don't you remember the letter Napoleon is said to have sent to Josephine as he was on his way back from a campaign, asking her not to bathe until his arrival? Apocryphal or not, it does make for a fun story...

I understand that,
BUT one must take into consideration it is the smell 'during' that can be exciting, not left over stink from days without deodrant!!!

A bit of healthy sweat is one thing. Last week's BO is a whole 'nother
issue. I kinda like the smell of fresh scrubbed skin, the clinging fragrance of soap. And there's nothing better than the scent of fresh bed linens after an afternoon on a breezy clothesline. Here's a clue: if your spouse has a headache at bedtime, there's a good chance you could cure it by taking a shower.

The results are in...
So far, 7 ladies have responded, as well as 2 guys. The ladies seem aghast at the notion of having us ditch our deodorant - it appears it would not arouse feelings of desire, but of disgust. One of the guys appeared to see a certain merit in the idea, with certain qualifications. The other one was just rolling on the floor - I'll mark that as a 'maybe'.
However, since the ladies' view in this matter is of more importance to me, I have shelved my idea of simultaneously a) saving money; and b) liven up my love life, and shall continue wielding the old stick...

If you want to sit alone
go ahead and ditch the "pit stick".
Back in the days when I used to take the city bus to work, there was one guy that, for whatever reason, never seemed to wear deodorant. He always had the back section of the bus to himself, because no one could stand the stench. If no one was willing to sit with him, I doubt he was getting much action in other areas!

Like anything, over whelming the senses
tends to reverse the affect. What you need to do, is save your sweat and just a dab here and there after you shower, that will do the trick.
