So how do you get it back? Stop trying to survive in a world that requires
you to be less soulful than we are of God? I tried, I failed. How else can we survive without looking out for the self, for our immediate needs, in a world set up to force into this predicament? Get power, and then try to change things? I don't know, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Do a good deed for someone in need. Make sure there is no pay involved
other than the return of love and friendship. Make someone else happy with your smile. Accept less in life. I cannot tell you the number of people who delight in scorning innocent babes and projecting their own negatives on poor unsuspecting victims. Those who project their negatives elsewhere should be made to take their own negatives and repay someone that they have injured in the past. And of course, those who project their negatives elsewhere are exceedingly successful in life and with the devil himself. Be gone, devil.....forever. I'm on my soapbox now.

I enjoy your blog. It's not only well written but deeply thought out. Here is a thought of my onw: ever contemplated to combine blatant materialism with lifting the soul? What I mean is the following: I would like to be stinking rich for one reason only: it is my dream to be able to donate a hospital ship to Doctors wihout Borders. So far, my wealth might stretch to the paint for the anchor, but I still strive.

This statement at the end of your post is certainly true: "

How wonderful it would be if, instead, we were helpful, accepting, kind, up-lifting, etc. etc. In other words, a whole bunch of soul builders.
