I have been digging around on Amazon.com and ran across an affiliate that might interest you. You mentioned earlier that you were thinking about using Lulu.com and when I found this I thought of you right off. Check out Createspace.com or go to Amazon and dig into their authors and publishers faq. CreateSpace looks like it does the same thing as Lulu. If you have the expertise and the time to do your own formatting CS might be a better deal when you look at marketing options for your travel book. When you finally decide which way you are going please let me know, I'll buy a copy for one of my daughters who just loves NY and would probably find it quite fun. There is alot to follow so I hope you stay with me for a bit longer.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for your generosity - not too many people are willing to let you in, or waste time in telling you about, the pros and cons of self publishing. Congratulations to you for selling so many copies in just a few days! It gives me more encouragement for the travel guide book I'm completing. I feel now that self publishing is not a shot in the dark but there are options (not to mention fine print to be wary of!) Congrats and thanks again
