We do it my dear because as you say we are human and when we are
hurting or on the defensive unfortunately for some of us this is the only way we know to instinctively react......... usually to lash out at our loved ones especially - perhaps because we know they understand and will forgive the tongue lashing!

I think hurting words are just one of the pitfalls of being human. We hurt therefore we want to hurt back, Its sad and you are right Wana, one might forgive them, but never does one forget them.

very true
and those do stick with us forever but i guess we use them to help ourselves grow and realize how much they do hurt to get us to say things of that nature less often

Wana, learning to both give & receive love unconditionally goes a long way
towards calming one's anger..recognition of that is a good start..enjoy your day - Ash

wana
It is said that anger is actually anger with ourselves. So it does beg the question - why do we lash out. Seems we should be giving ourselves a good tongue lashing rather than the people around us.
