our backyard was about 60 acres of woods, fields and streams and still provides me with warm and wonderful moments of reverie!  The backyard I have now is full of horses, dogs, cats and my youngest child, left at home as her brothers are grown and moved away.
Thank you for the read and your comments.

What a fascinating story.  I am putting it in my favorites hoping that I will remember to return each day to see what happens next.  When I was a child, I loved our backyard and when my own children were young, I tried to make the backyard a happy and adventurous place for my four boys to play so they would want to stay home and invite their friends to join them.  You have hit on a topic that will keep me coming back.
