Not easy..
If we used to think that having a strong will, patience, determination and perseverance in going through the struggle of life was not easy.. Now it is time to learn that sticking together, lifting each other up and being there for someone in need is even less easy! Because, even trying to listen without judging can be a great challenge sometimes.. You are really making me looking into myself. Thanks, Dave. And I'm ready for your part 3.

Very impressive posting! Do you think that some people who seem positive most of the time are really knowledgeable about the evils existing all around them and yet they choose to shine light with the hope that light will reach the darkness?

Ghandi is one of my all time hero's and I do believe that by starting peace
within one's own self is where it must begin. Yes, add positive thinking to this and there is no limit to how far one's light can shine. Then sprinkle it with love and patience for all people and all god's creatures share his resources equally, and you eliminate hate and despair. = no more war. It's really quite simple!

like always interesting read
i guess after breaking the pos/neg down like you have it is evident that its not really necessary to buy into the positive mentality but i do believe that simply trying to b more optimistic leads to a better life and overall feeling of well being but the true source of all of that is God and yes the Bible does not mention that and the bottom line is God will provide not necessarily in regards to money but more importantly love and help with our problems and afterall the ultimate goal preached by people like napoleon hill is amassing money and truly you can ONLY serve God or money NOT both and i will always serve the former and let Him guide me and loved the last sentence that wrapped it up nicely

Re: And a monster this is...I'm interested to know
I wish I could answer your questions. You see, when this fad came out, I rejected it outright and continued dealing with people and circumstances in the same old way. I do not think in terms like you are writing here. I live simply! Making lemonade out of lemons is part of pos/neg philosophy. If a problem comes up I deal with it! I don't think of them as lemons. My advice is look and see what is right in front of you and deal with that. No need to go through all kinds of mental distress in figuring if you're doing the right thing. If you are not hurting anybody unjustly, it is ok! If you can't help others, thats ok too! Thanks!

You put so much effort into your writing here, it is from deep study and thought. This is very well written. I am very wealthy in Spirit only and that is enough. Be blessed.

And a monster this is...I'm interested to know
if you see any positive in the negative?  I'm also a very positive person, and wonder what my responsibility is in shouldering any negative forces in my era...they might be a great distance away, but am I responsible to make "lemonade out of lemons"?  I used to think my contribution was to make positives in the lives of others as a family member and community member.  Now I'm wondering (in the last eight years especially), if I create positives, am I also responsible to "even the score" by creating a negative to go along with me positive, eg make my bed in the morning and leave a small corner of the bedding unturned to signify that I am not taking all of the positive energy...I'm leaving some of that positive energy for someone else.  Is there validity in this thinking?  I am seeing this among people of social conscience.  At least they are not plundering and taking someone else's positive energy, leaving injury to that person who now has to struggle with negative energy only, eg have no blankets covering them during an icy winter night.  Thank you for provoking my thoughts again!!
