My displeasure, EX TURPI. Still, people should know more about the real
ghouls out there and stop worrying about those asinine e-mail hoaxes that proliferate over the internet...

That is a troubling story, Azur. And first of all, let me say that I am
deeply sorry you had to go through all of that.  Bad enough being diagnosed with cancer and being pregnant, but to be aware of that scandal at the same time...  I read medical thrillers all the time(and I hate hospitals, so...) and unlawful harvesting is a common theme.  Truth being stranger, and so much more relevant, than fiction, I just hope I don't ever need a transplant...

This brings back odd memories for me
A few years ago I had a kidney removed. At the same time, a doctor from the surgery

I used to go to, not my doctor, was entrapped by a tabloid reporter posing as a patient in need

of a kidney. The doctor said to the reporter that he could be helped to find a kidney.

Afterwards,  I spoke to my doctor about the case, and she said that she believed he was

genuinely trying to help the fake patient. The doctor was elderly and this incident prompted

his retirement.

It was bizarre timing from my point of my view. It made me think about how easy it could be

to tell someone their kidney, or any organ, needed to be removed and then sell it on.

No, this did not happen  to me. I was diagnosed with kidney cancer while pregnant and was

treated with the utmost efficiency and professionalism. I had to wait it out throught the

pregnancy before my kidney was removed.

They already do it, KetilWorld. It's just not something people talk about.
The medical industry has a steady supply of transplant organs from body donors.  And they do have a lobby, funded by the AMA.

Where Did You Say You Got Your New Kidney?
I wonder how long before the politicians make it legal to sell cadaver parts of John and Jane doe? There seems to be a need and some are capitalizing on it, all they need now is a lobbyist. Thanks for keeping up the news.
