Kabu - we can put this comment in a file somewhere and call it up every

once in awhile, to save you the trouble of saying these things again.

It is a comment that can be used on any post because is generic. Unfortunately that is becuase it doesn't address anything in the post . . .  but what else is new?

Now would you like to hear my list of what I find weird about your behaviour on this site?

No?

 . . . Didn't think so.

I haven't been here for ages, mainly because when I do you're rehashing
something you've said before. Block me if you like(eeks I think I've said that before too!) but at the risk of sounding "smug" which I'm not, God has been guiding my life for sometime and by trusting God I have found peace. I am sorry for the atheists that I know for I don't see peace in their lives. Am I judgmental? No; not if that person is sharing their unhappiness and confusion with me. My recently become ex. is a sorry example of confusion. He believes in nothing, but lacks the intestinal fortitude to be an atheist, how sad is that life? Let me conclude by saying that I may not be a fundamentalist Christian, or a main stream church going Christian. I'm a "worship in my own way believer" but I will never deny my Lord. You say you believe yet somehow I think that your 'pot stirring" is really weird for one who professes to know his God.

ZenMom - sometimes they are better entertainment than those with talent
Much the same can be said of some of the utterly ludicrous contentions we have read on this site, if nothing else they do garner a few chuckles. The part that scares me however is when they, like the attrocious idol wannabes, say something so obviously lacking in any kind of validity, have others chime in endorsing their nonsense.  That part can also be discouraging sometimes.

GD - The "atheist bashing chuckleheads (abc's) remind me of some of the american idol contestants whom are  UNDENIABLY ATROCIOUS yet believe themselves to be talented performers. Nothing the judges say to these people will cause them to even CONSIDER they are mistaken. Like the abc's, somehow they have managed to delude themselves into believing something for which there is ABSOLUTELY NO evidence.    Zen

My comment is simple, I like the article and life is a personal journey.  sam

Whysper - the thing that still surprises me about these people is how they

feed off of each other to abandon all sense of propriety.

Right and wrong are not absolutes in their world, both are filtered with partisan allegience to their specific religious beliefs before they are considered. Subsequently, we see some of the most attrocious behaviour and inane ideas endorsed simply because the perpetrator believes in the same God. To many of them, it is all about being a member of their specific God fan club, everything else is a secondary consideration, if it is considered at all.

I've noticed a similarity in right wing nuts

and christian fanatics. Right wing nuts assume that anyone who isn't a true conservative is a liberal. Christian fanatics assume anyone who doesn't follow their invisible friend is an atheist.

It's a black and white world to those on the fringes, I'd say the same out those on the far left, but then they'd send the black helicopters after me.

I love broad generalizations, they are so flawed.
