I agree with your comments.........
my belief is that there are some people who do not have the confidence to trust making their decision alone and need to discuss, dissect and analyze; whereas some people seem to need nothing but their inner guidance to make almost instant decisions; great post; thank you

yes I agree; I also wrote a similar blog about indecisiveness and fence-sitting.  It's worse when the indecisive leader drags his members and kills initiative and momentuum.

true decisions must b made

heres a little excerpt from "think and grow rich" by napoleon hill (chapter on decisions)

"Analysis of over 25,000 men and women who had experienced failure disclosed the fact that lack of decision was near the head of the list of the thirty-one major causes of failure.  Procrastination, the opposite of decision, is a common enemy which practically every man must conquer....Analysis of several hundred people who had accumulated fortunes well beyond the million-dollar mark disclosed the fact that every one of them had the habit of reaching decisions promptly, and of changing these decisions slowly, if, and when they were changed.  People who fail to accumulate money, without exception, have the habit of reaching decisions, if at all, very slowly, and of changing these decisions quickly and often." (p. 139)

the bottom line is one characteristic of successful people (definitely not only in terms of wealth but life in general) is the ability to make decisions quickly and not let them sit in the back of their minds but rather decide and move on

wana
I think there are some people who can process information and the consequences quicker than others.  These people have the capacity to reach a decision without ruminating.  They lay the facts out and decide while others, unfortunately, lay the facts out and over analyze each element thereby creating confusion.  Although I may not always make the right decision, I would put myself into the first category.  I can't stand being in limbo so often I rely on my intuition or just a gut feeling and jump on it.
