Sam, I guess it is better to explain things unseen but hoped for using the very language that the Lord used. I may have studied philosophy and theology but when confronted by the people in my parish, especially the uneducated, I switch to the gut-level language of the parables. It is strong stuff, but the simple and uneducated understand it more readily than their more well-to-do counterparts.

Well Friar, that was one of the most terse yet incredible sensible explanation of the eternal life v. riches through citing in other gospels but the functionality of the parables always enhances the point. sam
