Unfortunately, seeing a shrink is pretty necessary, since I suffer from agoraphobia and panic disorder. I won't let him mess with my usual neuroses, only the ones that make me sick!

I don't actually think shrink's are pointless - it's just the first few sessions that can be frustrating, when the psychologist is trying to get to know you, as a patient and as a person. Necessary, but annoying.

I used to think talking to a therapist was a total waste of time,
but I got some very valuable insights and feedback on a situation I was trying to salvage. Made me see things from a different perspective and although the situation still crumbled, I was able to handle it. I hope you're able to take advantage of yours. :)pat
