Re: I would never make that mistake (Atheists have stopped being seekers.)
You might be correct when you write this last sentence, but I prefer (and do think, really) that to be an atheist today does not necessarily lock that person into always being an atheist. Many atheists can and do recant daily. Each of us, I think, must follow his/her own path. To quote my own self "To get to where we are going, we must have been to where we were."

I would never make that mistake
Gnostics are still seekers. Atheists have stopped being seekers.

Re: I will be so disappointed if she's right
Maybe not, Whysper, but I have never in my entire life met even one atheist who believes that there is a God! Please don't overlook the huge difference between an Agnostic and an atheist!

Re: O'Hare??
FineYoungSinger, you're are not a pest, but you ARE wrong, at least according to the Wikipedia encyclopedia! "Madalyn Murray O'Hair (born Madalyn Mays) would later adopt her more famous surnames, Murray and O'Hair ..."

I will be so disappointed if she's right
However, just as I know there are many different versions of christianity there are many different versions of atheism. Keep in mind....
Not all atheists don't believe the same thing.
