Well... then... perhaps...since... then... maybe... so... these f**king
people drive me nuts.  What the hell are they doing up there?  This crap won't work.  It's a stopgap.  We need a longterm policy.  Don't these morons get it that we need jobs, job security, insurance, and for someone to cap that oil price, regulate the unregulated, fix those uneven trade problems (mostly with China), and put a temporary moratorium on the prices of all foodstuffs and utility rates (say, six months).  But, no, they'll muddle through this and give people their own money back and call it tax relief (what a snowjob) and we'll slide even further into the abyss.  All those bastards on Capitol Hill need to be kicked the hell out for allowing this to happen.  All of it, from Enron and Adelphia to Katrina to the Wa in Iraq to the subprime mortgage problem to the abysmal trade deficit with China.  Just as always, though, it will be the American people who suffer and pay for it...

I feel that, regardless of what they do now
it will be too little, too late. The time to act was three months ago, when it became apparent to everyone except the politicians that we were sinking into a recession.
