Re: Sira
I'm glad you added your routine, it's always good to get a man's perspective on things!
Other than the "pre-snooze booze", my routine is fairly similar to yours - I wonder if it's because I'm more of a tom-boy than I realized, or because I haven't hit that magic age where women start to feel the need to fight the battle against time.
I guess I have something to ponder today - there's nothing like a little bit of self-discovery to keep a person busy

Re: Once you get into a bedtime routine, you need to stick to it,
You're not kidding Pat - that would be a very depressing thought to end the day with!

Re: Us oldies have to primp!
Maybe it is more age than gender that dictates the routines we have. Since I don't wear, or even own, make-up, I guess it's only natural that I could skip all the steps to remove it!
Mark bought a pack of those strips last week - he hasn't used them yet, but I'm curious to see if they actually work or not.
Thanks for reading

Sira
Well, although not being a lady, I give you my routine anyway: bathroom, pee, brush teeth, in winter put on jammies, in summer
au naturel, into bed, grab book, and while reading, eat apple slices or a few pieces of chocolate and sip a tiny bit (well, not
that tiny, lol) of brandy or scotch. Read some more, and eventually, when I no longer know what I am reading, lights out and asleep in less than five minutes. And yes, I know I should brush my teeth again, but brandy sterilizes things...

Once you get into a bedtime routine, you need to stick to it,
because it's a transitional process and if you don't take each step, you'll have trouble falling to sleep. I remember when we used to say our prayers last thing, but "if I die before I wake..." is not exactly conducive to relaxing.

Us oldies have to primp!
Haha! Teasing you Sira but I probably take about 10 mins to get ready for bed. I take off my makeup with three different cleansers...one for eye makeup, a cream remover for my face then a toner and then I apply a night moisturizer. I floss, brush and pop my meds then often slather on some hand and foot cream. I could never get into bed without doing this...even when it's super late and I've overindulged in the evening..gotta do the face and teeth. LOL..as I type I have Crest whitestrips on my teeth!

Takes longer to preserve the beauty when yer in your 40s and up!
