jesse_jean - there's no doubt that the messiah business is a lot trickier

than it seems.

saul_relative - that's how I feel about it
The funny part was as I mentuioned in an earlier comment; I was the only one who suggested this guy needed help. Not only did other Blogit members stop into his posts and tell him what a great job he was doing, one of my regular harrassers made a point of attacking me for suggesting the man was in need of help.

IF they haven't realized it
Then perhaps they had better before they get nailed. Why would anyone want that position anyway, can you imagine how horrible it would be to be considered perfect???

These people are obviously delusional, gomedome. Not just to
those who think like you and I, but to true believers as well.  When people reach this state of pathological behavior, it is high time someone has them committed for treatment...

strat - the motivation was a tough call in this case
I never witnessed any ulterior motives. It must have something to do with a certain type of ego coupled with a certain type of mental impairment that produces these types of people.

ZenMom - it is sad to see our fellow humans in that state
Professional help is obviously needed but it is a safe bet that the mental imbalance is exarcerbated by the homelessness. It is my impression that the person I refer to in this post was a lot like Danny, only a computer and a credit card seperating them.

ginnieb - I often wonder if these people have any idea how crazy they sound
Hearing voices in one's head is a symptom of psychosis and should be dealt with by professionals. The sad part of the person I am speaking of is that I may have been the only person on this site that suggested professional help. Of the few blogs he posted, the comments ranged in theme from "nice post" to "interesting".

Re: I just can't figure what makes some folks' peas rattle around the head

You'd have to read gome's previous post (comments).....it's where I mistakenly posted MY comment about Danny. It will tell you that Danny's teeth are bad because he is homeless which I'm quite certain leaves him without dental insurance.

I just can't figure what makes some folks' peas rattle around the head
the way they do. You see them all the time; it's just hard to pin down what motivates them -- not money -- that's the root of all evil. Not sex; that's just plain immoral.

As to Danny, one would think the Almighty would fix his teeth if He wanted him to spread the word with that mouth...

Meet Danny

Sorry - I wanted you to meet Danny. I mistakenly added this comment to your previous post (also thought provoking, as usual). He says he's god's messenger. Zen

Some of those that supposedly hear him...
...are told to kill their children.  Now that's great communication.  There is such an arrogance in the other, relatively 'normal' people who want to make sure their voice is heard above others and especially to the 'heathens' of the world...those are the ones that upset me...who are they to say they are right?  Pure arrogance.  Great post!

All I have for you today is "GOOD POST".
My thoughts on this matter are getting to be a little too big for a little comment.  Thanks for the inspiration.
