I was just given another idea -- read Ecclesiates

It basically says something similar to what I have been saying.

Good and evil befall all alike.

just something to add

all these things that you mention and more are just part of life.

I hate the song, but it's right.  It's God speaking, 'I beg your pardon; I never promised you a rose garden.  Along with the sunshine, there's got to be a little rain sometime.  If you take you got to give; so live and let live, and let go."

neither because there is no war

humans have wanted to explain the pleasant and unpleasant ever since humans have perceived.  primitive tribes have gods and demons in multitudes.  so the precursors to our modern religions must also have had such.  you see among all religions, and in the religions of ancient cultures, legions of gods and demons.

so modern religion is not that much different from the primitive and ancient; it wants to personify things

Jesus did say once that "God sends his rain on the good and evil alike."  He mentioned a tower that fell and killed people, asking if people thought that those "were sinners above all others."  His meaning, of course, was that disasters strike without regard to people.

This Earth is filled with disaster.  In my vision of God as the Universe as an Organism, we have a neutral God, where conflagrations and natural disasters are common, striking all indiscriminately.

The "god" that religion gives us is an image of the god they want.  In ancient times, the god of a particular nation was all powerful; so was the god of the Hebrews.  This god was their protector.  Only this god didn't protect them.  So they decided that what befell  was god's wrath at them for being sinful.  They couldn't see that their protector god (Jehoveh-Jireh, or something like that) was just a construct.

so if you have a god like this, that is made out to be good, then you must explain the disasters and evils and the evils that people do against other people; so, to accompany the god you have created, you create an archenemy, the Devil, and ascribe all the evils to him.

In that manner you divest yourself of all responsibility for good and evil and place it on the heads of imaginary beings.

Basically to answer your question, the world revolves as it always has; people behave as they always have; sh*t happens.

Accept it and get on with your own life.

Here's my ultimate philosphy.  Each individual human being is the highest representative of God on this Earth. Thus, each of us has the responsiblity of acting toward others in a godly manner, and respecting others as if they are God.

The devil does not have the power to create anything, he merely tempts us to bring out the wrost in us, he did not kick our Adam and Eve from Eden, they ate the forbidden fruit and had to face the consequence of their action.

After any disaster there is rebirth. The land heals and flourishes. The good guys always win.
