'Darkness slowly robbing my existence,' was dynamic. I felt the weight of the poem as I read, my shoulders got heavy. The saving grace was it ended with peace. Quite beautifully orchestrated. sam

In any situation, the melancholic tone of the poem leads in your readers to the narrator's emotion.
