A blog is an online column, so most readers do not post comments.
One way to have a dialogue is to reference another writer's post in your own blog. Click the "(link)" link next to each post to get the URL of the post, which makes it easier for readers to see the original post.
There are many advantages of doing a new post instead of having one long post, e.g. readers can easily see when new information has been added.
