Re: I remember the Wiggle Machine!
LOL, Sira. That's one thing suspicious about infomercials - you never, ever see an unhappy soul there, everything is always sunshine and bright smiles, enough to turn you off...

I do remember vaguely seeing something like that! Those machines have probably ended up in municipal dumps by now. They'll provide future archeologists with something else to puzzle over. 'What the hell were
these used for...?'

I remember the Wiggle Machine!
And it was WAY before my time!
They came out with a newer version a few years ago too. Nothing to stand on, just a belt you strap on around your waist, and it jiggles while you're going about your daily business, cleaning house or whatever. I think it was right around the time of the thigh master!
I never tried it, but the girl on the infomercial looked like she was having a great time, being vibrated all about while she did the dishes!

I don't know where to find one to show you....and wouldn't be able to get it to you if I did!.....but it was one of the earliest exercise machines. You stood on a platform, and about waist-high on the attached stand with a big belt attached to it that you strapped around your hips or waist....or could even step into and loop around a thigh....you leaned back some to create tension by taking up the slack in the belt and hit the switch....low/med/high, etc.....and "exercised" as it shimmied your fat! This was in the late '60's - early '70's I think. The vibration eventually brought all the blood rushing to the small capillaries in your skin and it itched like crazy.....like leaning back against a boat in the summer.
They then came out and said that vibrating fat was not effective in losing it.....just goes to show.....

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about! Is this one of those strange devices they used at the beginning of the industrial revolution?

Wow, I'm so happy that all I have to do is jiggle. I have a lot to jiggle and I hate sit-ups and such, so guess I'll just stand and jiggle my fat for 30 minutes a day and watch the fat burn away! Yey!!!!!!

The information is invaluable. My nephews are obese and it has been a process to get them moving. I thought about the jiggling, but have decided that since we have them walking for 60 minutes a day this is good for now. i think adding the jiggling would be good in due time. I could always show them the pix from Troosha and go from their. Thanks for taking the time to share your research. sam
