The things Parents do for their kids!
I was a professional figure skater for years and years, and I have some very fond memories of my poor parents, sitting in the skating rink at 5:30 am, half asleep, clutching styrofoam cups of gross coffee and shivering with cold.
They never complained, because they knew it was important to me. And I am so grateful to them, especially now that I'm old enough to understand just how much they suffered for me, so I could chase my dreams!
You're a great mom, and you're kids are so lucky to have you!

What a cute picture. I miss events like that since my boys all grew up. I don't think I ever made rice balls for my boys. Ususally it was some kind of sandwiches. They probably missed out on something they would have liked.

Just a comment to say--
--yes, Japan has definitely gotten colder. T_T The temperature itself has maybe not dropped so very much, but the wind has been awful! Especially Sunday, today at least was a little better, which was good, as I had a bunch of running around to do on this day off. I love all the national holidays here, hee.
