I heard that, too.....
And the Prosecutor wanted probation...but the judge let it be known in advance that there would be none of that!   And yesterday, Britney refused to show up for court and nothing, nada....not even her usual slap on the wrist......

I tend to agree with you. While I don't think she's exactly a shining example of humanity, many people do far worse. Someone is going to get killed with people like Paris Skank Hilton and Lindsey McNasty Bulbous Forehead Lohan driving around the streets!  Like you said, Jones really only hurt herself.

I would not want to be the judge on judgement day

6 months...short tdy.

Different judge, different places.

As a hypothetical, if she's been doing steroids and hanging with people pulling check scams she might not need to be continuing that influence stream around her kid. Yo can bet it isn't confined to that.

Two things not to do...run from the cops, and lie to a judge.

Agreed.
Besides, she came forward on her own as I understand it -- she could have gotten away with it.  Now, she's lost everything she worked for professionally, and her reputation, and can't get it back.  I'm disappointed in her, but you're right that it's the Paris Hilton and all of these young Hollywood brats (although I like Lindsay Lohan) that get away with everything.  Uniformity/consistency has always been one of my biggest irritations in working in law.

I thought it was excessive. What is the use of the jail time. Sometimes enough is enough!  sam
