I would surely let...
...the supposed friend know how I felt and then break all connections with them if they cannot apologize for their behavior. And if they did apologize, I would still treat them with a long handled spoon. Once burnt, twice learnt!

I have been betrayed several times by 'close friends.' I've learned to keep my mouth shut at first, letting the sting of betrayal subside and then I confront IF it is still eating at me, but I do so in a much calmer, kinder manner then if I would have bit right back.
