Where'd I leave my walker?
I remember being 16, and thinking that anyone over the age of 25 was a dinosaur. Funny how perspectives change as you age! I'd like to think I have a few good years left before I hit the "old and ugly" category!

I remember when a 20-year-old guy was over the hill, needed a cane
to get around. I was fifteen or sixteen at the time, and thanks to the benefit of a modern education and my well-read friends in the 11th grade, I knew everything that was worth knowing.
Funny, but I don't remember when my perspective changed - how long I've thought a 20-year-old guy is barely out of diapers. With only high school under his belt, he sadly lacks the bare minimum of brains and training to survive in the world. And sixteen-year-old girls? They may dress the sophisticate, but it's only a matter of hours befor a 20-something dawg of a guy is going to come along and make a fool of 'em.
Of course it's possible I could be totally out of the loop and haven't got a clue about any of it.

I don't mind being old ...
but ugly??? My mother used to say, "If you live long enough, you'll get old. The alternative is to die young." I wouldn't want the alternative -- think of all the fun I would have missed.
