i'm with taps on this one -
we've been around for so long that surely most of our ideas and musings must be getting recycled. i often wonder how musicians are able to make new and interesting songs without being influenced too heavily by bands before them.

I'll just bet that there are not many really original ideas anymore. We see, hear, read too much and whether we know it or not, we are influenced by those things.
