! I know, the wallet retrieved in tact is pretty amazing even for here these days! I told E that if an
obasan 'aunty' type person picked it up it would be alright. And if it had to be stolen then I secretly hoped a homeless person got it, not some young gang leader type. But the worker at the burger shop picked it up and held it for us, she gave it to me all smiles. It was very nice!

about your inlaws, eeek gads! I enjoy reading about the cultural differences as well. Happy New Year to you. Weird money as gifts and the custom for the children at New Years although not much different in the US really.
