Re: Re: Corbin_Dallas
its called hillsborough I think I beleive the biggest town near them is Lewisville, you can tell I am not familar, but my son was just there and they say the miniumum wages is about $5, not that any of us want minmum wage jobs, but to get to a job my son would have to drive 60 miles if he was to transfer to Budget.

Re: Corbin_Dallas
Uhhhh??? Where are you reading that....McDonalds pays $7.00+....in Lexington $8.00 - $9.00. It depends on what you are looking for......if in Louisville, you can work part time for UPS, earn above $10.00/hr and get pretty decent health insurance.
I have a friend who has his own electrical company and his wife works in the human resources, part time, just to get the health care for their family......
Is there better places to live? of course........but I'm just trying to say it's not like the stereotype......not to be nosey....what part of the state might you be headed for???

OK but the wages are about half what they are here, not that I want to work, but a part time job, would probably pay about $5 and hour and if I move the rest of my family would go and what are and where are they going to get jobs? My son had basically changed his mind about moviing there, he loves it but he feels they live in the 70's.

Lilane.......
We have a beautiful state.....a house will cost you 60-70% less here....yes we have hicks and hillbillies......but that is lot a reflection of the state as a whole, most of us actually wear shoes. Your electricity will be 40% less than in California, gas right now is running $2.92/gal.....
You are within a days drive of 70% of America.....and the TV and shows are actually on at the correct time!
