Music
I love music and different music styles definitely affect me differently.  I experience the same thing with songs staying in my brain when i didn't notice i was paying attention.  Even songs that i find repulsive i tend to sing out loud or hear in my head.  I almost feel like i am in mourning with the majority of the music that is played on radio stations and music television.  I try to open myself to different types trying to lend to the fact that maybe i have just outgrown the types of music that i once liked, but i still feel sad about how ridiculous the lyrics and videos are today.  I especially feel shame for how proud the so called artists look for the monsters they are creating.  I think music has always been good, but what is able to pass for music these days should be labeled terrible word sounds.

I think music is for everyone, Color Your Life. It is personal and
embraces each of us on a visceral, heartfelt level.  As for how a song will stay with you, just last week the song "Through the Fire and the Flames" by Dragonforce was in my head for nearly the entire week.  I've been hearing "Holy Diver" by Dio for the last two days.  What really gets to me is when a song you literally despise gets stuck on permanent replay in your head.  Talk about torture...

Re: DIFFERENT TYPE OF MUSIC HELPS DIFFERENTLY.....

You are so right.

I will be posting a blog call, "Six reasons why we write songs"

It will speak to some of the things you've mentioned.

Music is my life.  I am in music and music is in me.
