I could drop some names of people I've interviewed but I never do. I like it sometimes though that I'll turn on the TV or radio and think oh, there's such and such that I interviewed. My son has met the Queen. He has an umbrella from the day. It was a garden party for school children and he prepared a project a school and was selected. I have not spoken to the Queen directly but have been in her presence, a couple of times. On one occasion I attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace, along with 7999 others.

Windsor... It was Windsor Castle where they had the fire.
He sent me a couple of baubles from the renovation, two of the wooden window-shade pulls, little handles like you might see on the ends of a jumprope. But royal!

I see I have to get this ball rolling...
I have this friend in England. He is in construction, and worked on the renovation of the Queen's house when it had a big fire a few years ago. I don't remember which one, I think it was not Buckingham, but the other one... duh moment here... Can't remember the name of the other one.
Anyway, he was in the crew that was hired by the person in the Queen's household who handles such business, who reports to someone who reports to the Queen. Maybe there would be another someone or two in between...
But there it is, through knowing me, you are linked to the Queen of England, AND anyone else she knows.

No one at the moment. I'm sure my life is rather blase to many who frequent this place.

I know a few people who I would only ask favors for a friend in trouble
and others, who are fun to talk with or listen to. Otherwise, I would prefer not to drop names. I would rather be the name that was dropped. In my impetuous youth, I told the younger Joe Kennedy he should remember my name, i.e. he could drop my name in the future.
